INSTACART
FOR PAPA
Truth
WHEN SHOPPING FOR GROCERIES, PEOPLE ARE FIERCELY PARTICULAR ABOUT SMALL THINGS, LIKE BANANA RIPENESS. LOSING CONTROL OVER THAT IS WHAT MAKES ONLINE GROCERY SHOPPING FEEL RISKY.
Truth Well Told
INSTACART TURNED BANANA RIPENESS INTO AN OPERATIC RIVALRY AT THE SUPER BOWL, SHOWING CONSUMERS THAT WITH ITS NEW “PREFERENCE PICKER” FEATURE, THEY’RE STILL THE ONES IN CONTROL.

Impact
91M+ owned impressions, 579M+ total reach (87% non-followers), 22B earned impressions, and a spike in new users.
Description
Online grocery's real barrier isn't convenience, but control, especially over fresh produce. Instacart's data showed customers had left 32M+ notes specifying banana ripeness alone.
For the Super Bowl, McCann and Instacart dramatized this obsession at operatic scale -- transforming banana ripeness into the subject of an epic musical showdown. What starts as a polished Euro-pop duet featuring Ben Stiller and Benson Boone escalates into an absurd, high-stakes rivalry, performed on a 60-foot stage with 45,000+ illuminated elements and shot on original 1980s broadcast cameras for an authentic analog look. Rather than explain the platform’s new “Preference Picker” feature, the campaign embedded it directly into the entertainment — sung, performed, and repeated until product and story became inseparable. The work reframed online grocery from a loss of control to a celebration of it.
LAST PRISONER PROJECT
THE PEN TO RIGHT HISTORY
Truth
AMERICA PROFITS FROM CANNABIS WHILE MILLIONS STILL PAY ITS PRICE.
Truth Well Told
WITH A SIMPLE PEN, WE MADE THE SOLUTION SO OBVIOUS THAT POLITICIANS COULDN’T HIDE THEIR INACTION. BY PUTTING IT IN THE HANDS OF AFFECTED FAMILIES INSTEAD OF PRESSURING POLITICIANS PUBLICLY, THE CAMPAIGN LET LEADERS SIGN PARDONS AS AN ACT OF HEROISM — NOT A CONCESSION TO PRESSURE.

Impact
175,000 pardoned convictions — the largest state pardon in U.S. history — plus 1 billion earned impressions, and ripple effects including Biden's pardon of eight clients and Maryland's 2025 Expungement Reform Act.
Description
Politicians avoid pardons — "soft on crime" is a career risk, and the public has little sympathy for anyone labeled a criminal. McCann and Last Prisoner Project gave lawmakers a way to act: a symbolic pen, called "The Pen to Right History," placed in the hands of families affected by cannabis convictions to write personal pleas for justice. We made the solution so obvious that politicians couldn’t hide their inaction - over 20,000 letters were sent directly to governors and the President, reframing a pardon not as risk, but as heroism.
MASTERCARD
INCLUSIVE BY DESIGN
Truth
AN INCLUSIVE GLOBAL FINANCIAL SYSTEM IS GOOD FOR HUMANITY AND BUSINESS.
Truth Well Told
DOING WELL BY DOING GOOD.
Impact
+89% increase in brand value since 2018
Description
When Mastercard and McCann debuted “Priceless” in 1997, the campaign captured people’s hearts with a breakthrough idea: in a world of conspicuous consumption, what really matters are the things that money can’t buy — like taking your child to their first game at the ballpark.
Mastercard and McCann realized that to continue to deliver on “Priceless,” the brand platform could not ignore the 1.4 billion people globally excluded from the financial system due to discrimination, exploitation, and more. With financial inclusion now central to Mastercard’s brand purpose, “Priceless” has evolved beyond messaging into groundbreaking product innovations, tools, and platforms.
Among them: the “True Name” card, allowing transgender individuals to have their real names inscribed on their credit cards; the “Touch Card” system that lets sight-impaired consumers to distinguish their credit, debit, and pre-paid cards by touch; the Cannes Lions Grand Prix and Titanium-honored “Where to Settle” tool that helps Ukrainian refugees in Poland find the ideal areas to make their new homes; the Grand Prix-winning “Where to Start” tool that helps create a symbiotic financial ecosystem between resettled Ukrainian refugees and their Polish neighbors; and the new “Life Donor Card” and “ATM Voting” projects, which have turned millions of users into organ donors and helped citizens decide how the government uses their money, respectively.
PRUDENTIAL
BABY BETA BONUS
Truth
RETIREMENT PLANNING ALWAYS FEELS LIKE IT CAN WAIT — BUT BY THE TIME PEOPLE FEEL URGENCY, THEY'VE ALREADY LOST THEIR MOST VALUABLE ASSET: TIME.
Truth Well Told
PRUDENTIAL TOOK "START SAVING EARLY" TO ITS LOGICAL EXTREME — OFFERING REAL MONEY TO BABIES ON DAY ONE OF LIFE — TURNING AN ABSTRACT PIECE OF FINANCIAL ADVICE INTO AN UNMISSABLE, UNIGNORABLE PROOF POINT.
Impact
71% of non-saving 18-34 year-olds said they'd start or resume saving; advisors dropped their recommended savings age from 24.2 to 16.8; Prudential projects $120M in incremental revenue.
Description
With pensions gone and Social Security's future uncertain, Americans still treat retirement as tomorrow's problem. On January 1, 2025, the first day of Generation Beta, Prudential offered every U.S. baby born that day $150 to invest, potentially growing to $100,000 by retirement. Backed by original research and amplified through Times Square OOH and a Rose Bowl sponsorship, the campaign reframed birth itself as the ideal moment to start saving — a wake-up call for consumers and financial advisors alike.

PGIM
KEEP ASKING
Description
In a category dominated by interchangeable imagery and market performance claims, PGIM faced a difficult challenge: create a campaign distinctive enough to cut through the sameness of the financial landscape and build familiarity as a leading global asset manager across public and private markets, all while remaining credible enough to earn the trust of one of the world's most skeptical audiences: institutional investors.
In partnership with McCann, CoreData and Panoplai, the team launched a research initiative to understand why investors think the way they do. Combining qualitative interviews, quantitative validation and AI-enabled synthetic audiences to ensure every strategic and creative decision could be tested and refined. We conducted more than 40 hours of in-depth interviews with investors, consultants and decision-makers across markets in the US, Europe and Asia.
